交响音乐会

导赏 我的第二定音鼓协奏曲的灵感源自中国的园林,不同的乐章就像是不同的亭台楼阁,而乐章之间的过度段落则像是这些建筑之间的小径。定音鼓独奏有时会试图影响或者说服乐队跟随自己走上某条小径,而有时两者又会分道扬镳。

定音鼓独奏在这里使用的是一种特殊的扩展版9面“高音定音鼓”,悬置于6面常规的定音鼓之上。全世界只有两套这种这种高音定音鼓,并且为这种乐器创作的协奏曲也只有两部。

管弦乐团与独奏部分的演奏技巧非常华丽,并且听众还会听到从音乐厅不同位置传来的预先录制好的音效。

本场音乐会上的另一部作品是谢德林根据比才歌剧《卡门》改编创作的组曲,也被称作“敲击卡门”,听众同样可以从中感受到打击乐器的巨大魅力。(詹姆斯·博兹诺斯,定音鼓演奏家、作曲家)

詹姆斯·博兹诺斯是音乐表演者,作曲家,教育家以及指挥家。他1969年出生于芝加哥,如今在亚洲、北美洲以及欧洲各地演出。从2000年起,他担任香港管弦乐团首席定音鼓演奏家。

詹姆斯·博兹诺斯作为独奏家与香港管弦乐团合作过三次,演出了克拉夫特第一定音鼓协奏曲,博兹诺斯本人创作的为定音鼓、旋转鼓与管弦乐团所作的协奏曲,以及克拉夫特第二定音鼓协奏曲修订版的世界首演。他经常以客座首席的身份与台湾NTSO交响乐团、新加坡交响乐团以及金泽管弦合奏团等合作。他在香港APA与香港大学任教。

在加入香港管弦乐团之前,博兹诺斯与芝加哥交响乐团以及波士顿与芝加哥的顶尖乐团定期合作。在那段时期,他与芝加哥室内乐团在欧洲十座城市巡演,演奏布鲁多维茨的马林巴协奏曲,在希腊德尔菲的古代露天剧场演奏泽纳基斯为独奏打击乐所作的《Psappha》,在柏林国家歌剧院皮埃尔·布列兹75岁生日音乐会上与布列兹本人合作演奏Derive I与II。他指挥他自己的合奏团体KLANG演出过超过60部当代作品,其中包括了施托克豪森的《周四的问候》在美国与亚洲的首演。

作为作曲家,博兹诺斯使用笔名OZNO。他为管弦乐团、室内乐、独奏、声乐、电子乐以及戏剧写作音乐,近期他的作品在香港首演的包括为萨克斯四重奏所作的《沙丘之语》、为独奏打击乐与iPod所作的《Zoon》,为16件轮奏打击乐器、合成乐队与录音带所作的第一交响曲“天网的阶梯”,为管弦乐团所作的“谷歌”,为6件乐器、6名歌手与合成乐队所作的“Anesti”,为6声部合唱团、19件乐器与录音带所作 “Nevu’ah”,为管弦乐团所作的“Oikogeneia”,以及为定音鼓与合成乐队所作的“a time, times and half a time”等。中国爱乐乐团与广州交响乐团将首演他的为定音鼓、管弦乐团与mp3所作的第二协奏曲。他的第三康塔塔是一首为独奏家、合唱团与管弦乐团所作的大型作品,将由香港巴赫合唱团于2019年首演。2020年,香港管弦乐团将由梵志登指挥演奏他的一首新的管弦乐作品。

本场音乐会是他第一次与中国爱乐乐团合作。


指挥:景焕

自2013年9月起,景焕担任广州交响乐团驻团指挥,同年12月首次亮相指挥广州交响乐团音乐季音乐会,与小提琴大师马克西姆·文格洛夫一起成功合作柴科夫斯基《D大调小提琴协奏曲》。自2014年开始,景焕兼任广州交响乐团附属青少年乐团暨广州学生交响乐团音乐总监,于2015年带领乐团赴德国柏林参加“欧洲青年古典音乐节”,在柏林音乐厅演出,备受赞赏。

景焕曾经担任美国辛辛那提交响乐团和五月音乐节乐团指挥助理,同时兼任辛辛那提青年管弦乐团助理指挥以及阿塔利亚室内乐团首席客座指挥。2012年6月,景焕在中国青岛举行的第一届李德伦全国指挥比赛中成为两位获奖者之一。随后,景焕赴巴西圣保罗参加若丹山庄国际音乐节,她的卓越表现获得了著名女指挥马琳·阿尔索普邀请,在 2013年2月开始担任圣保罗国家交响乐团助理指挥。

作为歌剧指挥,景焕与辛辛那提大学音乐学院管弦乐团合作指挥了莫扎特的歌剧《费加罗的婚礼》、普契尼的歌剧《图兰朵》以及斯特拉文斯基的歌剧《浪子历程》。

她曾与克罗地亚广播电视交响乐团以及波兰波德拉谢省歌剧院爱乐乐团合作。2010 及2011年夏天,景焕赴意大利出任辛辛那提大学音乐学院斯柏拉图音乐节助理指挥。 

2011年,景焕获得第五届波兰卢托斯拉夫斯基青年指挥比赛、第五届克罗地亚罗夫罗·冯·马塔奇科国际青年指挥比赛颁发的数个奖项。

毕业于中央音乐学院指挥系,师从著名指挥家、音乐教育家徐新教授。2009年以优异成绩完成美国辛辛那提大学音乐学院指挥系硕士学位,并获得全额奖学金继续攻读该校博士学位。

A performer, composer, educator and conductor, James Boznos (1969, Chicago) performs throughout Asia, North America and Europe. Since 2000, he has been the Principal Timpanist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

James has been soloist with the HK Phil on three occasions, having performed the Kraft Timpani Concerto No.1, as well as his own composition Concerto for Timpani, Roto-Toms and Orchestra, and the world premiere of the revised version of Kraft's Timpani Concerto No.2. He has been a frequent guest principal with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Symphony and the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa. He teaches at the Hong Kong APA and Hong Kong University.

 Prior to joining the HKPhil, Boznos worked regularly with the Chicago Symphony and the leading new music groups of Boston and Chicago.

In those years, some highlights include; a ten-city European tour with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra performing Brudowicz's Marimba Concerto; performing Iannis Xenakis' Psappha for solo percussion in the ancient amphitheatre in Delphi, Greece, and playing Derive I and II at the Berlin Staatsoper Pierre Boulez' 75th birthday, with Boulez himself conducting. With his ensemble KLANG, he conducted over sixty contemporary works including the USA and Asia premiere of Donnerstags Gruss by Stockhausen.

As a composer, James Boznos uses the pen name OZNO. He has written music for orchestra, chamber, solo, vocal, electronic genres as well as for the theatre. Recent premieres in Hong Kong have included:

“Locutions of Dune”, for saxophone quartet, “Zoon, for solo percussion and ipod”, his first Symphony “Staircase of the Tian-Wang”, for 16 antiphonal instruments, synthetic orchestra and tape, “Google”, for orchestra, “Anesti”, for 6 instruments, 6 voices and synthetic orchestra,“Nevu’ah”, for 6 part chorus, 19 instrumentalists and tape, “Oikogeneia” for orchestra, and “a time, times and half a time” for timpani and synthetic orchestra. The China Philharmonic and Guangzhou Symphony will soon premiere “Concerto Nr.2 for timpani, orchestra and mp3”. Ozno's Cantata #3, a large scale work for soloists, choir and orchestra will be premiered by the Hong Kong Bach Choir in 2019. In 2020, the Hong Kong Philharmonic will perform a new orchestral work with Jaap van Zweden.

This concert features his debut with the China Philharmonic Ochestra.


Jing Huan, conductor

Huan Jing has been Resident Conductor of the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra since September 2013. That December, she made her critically-acclaimed debut leading the ensemble in collaboration with Maxim Vengerov in Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. She has served as Music Director of the Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra since 2014. In 2015, she led the GSYO on a successful European tour, appearing at the Konzerthaus Berlin under the auspices of Young Euro Classic.

Huan has served as Conducting Assistant of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and May Festival; she was also the Conducting Assistant of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Artaria Chamber Orchestra. In June 2012, Huan was one of two prizewinners at the inaugural Li Delun National Conducting Competition held in Qingdao. Later that summer, she participated in the Campos do Jord?o International Festival in S?o Paulo, Brazil. Her outstanding performance led to an invitation by Maestro Marin Alsop to serve as Assistant Conductor of the S?o Paulo State Symphony beginning in February 2013.

In the realm of opera, Huan Jing has led the CCM Concert Orchestra in productions of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Puccini’s Turandot. She has also conducted Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress.

Huan has collaborated with the Croatian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra and Poland’s Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. During the summers of 2010 and 2011, she was Assistant Conductor at the CCM Spoleto Festival in Italy.

In 2011, Huan received commendations from the Fifth Witold Lutos?awski International Competition for Young Conductors and the Fifth Lovro von Mata?i? International Competition of Young Conductors.

A graduate of the Conducting Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, Huan Jing trained under the tutelage of Professor Xu Xin. In 2009, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where she was awarded a full scholarship to continue her doctoral studies.
